Thanks to all our contributors to this month’s issue of IMARS Highlights for the high standard of the articles. This month’s special feature is a minireview by Professor Vincent Monnier and colleagues. I am grateful to our regular and dedicated contributing editors, Alejandro Gugliucci, Vincenzo Fogliano and Toshio Miyata, for providing stimulating and insightful articles. Please keep the feedback coming in to me.
I would like to inform the members of the IMARS and the others interested and working in glycation research that the Editor of the journal “Amino Acids” (impact factor 4.1), Professor Gert Lubec, has invited IMARS to develop a glycation section in Amino Acids. The section will cover all aspects of glycation research and contributions will be peer-reviewed as usual for Amino Acids. The first edition is scheduled to appear later this year and will be a collection of collaborative reviews by leading glycation investigators to get the journal section off to a great start. These have now been invited. Thereafter, we expect to publish orginal research articles and communications, occasional reviews and letters. So please bear this in mind for future publication of your work. I will keep you informed of further developments.
