Editorial comment to the March 2011 Number of IMARS Highlights

naila-rabbaniOn behalf of the International Maillard Reaction Society, I would like to express our great sadness at the terrible loss of life and destruction caused by the earthquake and tsunami in Japan. Our thoughts are with those who have been affected by these tragic events. We wish our colleagues in Japan strength and determination in
caring for the sick and injured people and resilience in coping with these hugely difficult circumstances.
As always, we want to hear from you. Please tell us what you think about the
article presented by our devoted editors Monika Pischetsrieder, Varoujan A. Yaylayan and Ryoji Nagai in this issue. We thank their continuous support.
IMARS members are encouraged to take part in the Glycation Symposium to
be held at 12th International Congress, on Amino Acids, Peptides and Proteins
Beijing, August 1st to 5th, 2011. For more information please see the announcement section of Highlights.
