Editorial Comment to the July 2012 Issue of IMARS Highlights
I would like to thank Dr. Yasuhiko Yamamoto of Kanazawa University School of Medicine, Dr. Loredana Abbate of University of Naples, and Dr. Teruyuki Usui of Showagakuin Junior College for their great contribution in this issue of Highlight. Dr. Yamamoto described update information regarding the link between RAGE and innate immunity. Dr. Abbate focused on the Furan derived from linoleic acid and Dr. Usui summarized the glyceraldehyde-related Maillard reaction products. I hope that these articles give some hints to your further glycation research.
Further, this issue highlights the announcement of the Centenary Symposium of Maillard Reaction (the 11th IMARS meeting) in Nancy next September. Prof. Vincenzo Fogliano, president of IMARS, sends the special massage to the IMARS Highlights readers to invite all of you to join this memorial meeting.
As always, I would like to invite you to submit your articles, comments to any kinds of issues published in IMARS Highlights and other glycation-related issues in the field of food and medical sciences. IMARS Highlights editors always look forward to hearing from you. Please tell us what you think by email at [email protected]
